German Cockroach Treatment
Of all domestic cockroach species, German cockroaches have the highest reproductive rate, they breed continuously causing populations to increase very quickly. They typically reside in people’s homes, restaurants, nursing homes and hotels.
German cockroaches are not covered by our Standard General Pest Treatment as this particular species are also highly resistant to pesticides and can develop resistant to certain treatments over time. By eliminating the population completely, a specialised treatment plan is carefully considered, and generally multiple treatments may be required in order to break the breeding cycle and to gain appropriate control of the colony.

If you spot German Cockroaches in the day time, this may indicate that you have an infestation. If there are too many German cockroaches in your home or building, some may be forced to venture out into the open during the day in search of food and shelter. This can happen when the population grows beyond the available resources, leading to increased competition for survival. If you haven’t yet spotted a German cockroach, you may be able to identify an infestation by noticing a dark fecal stains, an oily, musty odour or dark droppings that resemble pepper or coffee grains.
German cockroaches are omnivorous scavengers that thrive in environments that provide moisture, warmth and food, harboring in dark, moist areas during the day including cracks and crevices. They are nocturnal and spend most of their time hiding in dark, moist areas during the day. At night, they emerge in search of food, which can include a wide range of organic matter such as food scraps, garbage, and other decaying materials. They are attracted to sweet and starchy substances, and can also consume other materials such as paper, glue, and other organic matter.
Cockroaches are also cold-blooded insects which can survive for one month without food. However, they can only survive for one week without water, which is why they are often found in bathrooms and kitchens, or are attracted to moist sinks at night.
How you can prevent an infestation:

Firstly, by addressing sanitation and cleaning issues as German cockroaches are mostly active at night and scavenge for food, moisture and warmth.
